Fresh

Today marks the start of my final two weeks working in Kansas City. It has been the most progressive eight months of my life so far, and in no way do I plan on slowing down. I first mentioned these final weeks of employment here. At that point I was facing some very difficult decisions in my life and I have to say looking back. I could not be happier of the direction I’m moving.

Currently in Ft. Worth Texas on my final work trip. The next step is moving back to Utah to start work on August 1st. It may be the back up plan to my back up plan but it does put me in the direction I wish to be going. That direction is not west, but forward. KC has been a joy ride. A glorious roller coaster between moments of clarity, deep depression, personal learning and everything in between. My home town will be missed for sure, but I promise I will visit you often family.

That application I mentioned yesterday is to a rapidly growing media company based out of New York, and I promised myself when I started this I would apply to jobs I thought I had no business applying to. I am still perfecting that application to give myself the best possible chance, but the groundwork for Utah is already set. Adulting this hard feels strange but good, definitely not normal. But who the heck wants to be normal? Not this guy. I should do something weird right now to make up for all the adulting.

Totally just did a handstand against the large glass window of this hotel room. Rocking the one long sock as always. I feel better now. Just had to get upside down. Deep breathe. One more. One more.

Ahh.. That’s refreshing.
