Life’s a Beach
As the sun remained constant in the sky, we spun around earth’s axis, creating our stars signature arc. The heat poured down in a flood of energy as it met the waves, the beach, and our skin. We spent all afternoon relaxing at the intersection of starlight and water. Two of our planets most precious assets for the sustainment of life. What a perfect place to be on any given summers day, especially my last. Tomorrow is day one, at job one in Utah. There is a lot at stake with this new position. Wait… what am I saying? No there isn’t.
I have no need to put unwarranted stress upon my shoulders, thinking that my whole future lies in the grasp of tomorrow. A plan has been made, and tomorrow is yet another step for me to vet. The odds are already stacked heavily in Moab’s favor. All I need to do is relax, enjoy my time here, and have fun. And learn, learning is also top of the list for any location in life. So many times I have had to tell myself that the place doesn’t matter, it is what lies inside of you and the people you surround yourself with that truly makes a place special. There is some truth to this statement, but my heart lies in Moab, and so do my people. Salt Lake and the surrounding Wasatch Range did bring tears to my eyes upon entering the valley again. This is a feeling I will always have when returning to a place I can always call home. The capitol of my favorite state. That being said, I believe that a better learning environment awaits me two hundred short miles to the south.
A better place, I have never been in. Steering clear from the old world of sin.
The place, not a spot, but something inside. A joy to life that comes along for the ride.
Your future, unknown, but its looking quite bright. As long as you share your gift of the light.
To make yourself happy, one thing you must do. Be kind to all, and treat them as you.
